We evaluate security products down to the bit level, so you won't buy on a promise.

Bitlevel Labs works with security leaders who are evaluating new vendors. We sit on the buyer's side of the table, take nothing from vendors, and tell you what the product actually does.

What we do

There are thousands of security vendors and new ones every week. Security teams spend real hours learning emerging categories, filtering the noise, and sitting through sales calls that belong to someone else's job. That's the work we take on: understanding the market, running the vendor conversations, and testing what actually matters before you sign.

How we work

Three engagements, each scoped to your team and your environment.

01

Market Intelligence Report

When you know the problem but not the players.

Say you need to secure your APIs. The category has fifty vendors, half of them founded in the last three years. We map the market for you: who leads, who's emerging, and which of them actually fit your stack and compliance requirements.

What you get: A sector report with a clear picture of the landscape and a one-hour debrief with your team.

02

Sales Shield & Vendor Scorecard

When you have budget and no bandwidth.

We take the vendor conversations off your team's plate. We run the discovery calls, push past the pitch to the technical facts, orchestrate demos around your use cases, and hold every vendor to the same criteria. Your engineers stay on security operations.

What you get: A vendor shortlist, a comparative scoring matrix, and a cost model you can negotiate from.

03

Active Lab Evaluation

When you're about to sign and can't afford to be wrong.

We build a sandbox that mirrors your environment, run threat simulations based on your actual risks, and test the finalists side by side: detection efficacy, false-positive rates, integration effort, onboarding time, and how it feels to operate day to day.

What you get: A technical evaluation report with the performance data, and a recommendation you can take to the board.

About

Eli Schmidt
Eli Schmidt
Founder

I've spent twenty years in cybersecurity on every side of a product decision: building the products, selling them, and buying them.

Built products at Akamai, Check Point, and Perimeter 81. Ran a global SOC at Radware. Led the Cyber Innovation Program at Barclays in Israel, sourcing and validating security startups for the bank, and managed enterprise POCs from both sides of the table. Holds a patent in network routing.

The market has changed. AI has multiplied the number of security products, the speed at which new categories appear, and the volume of claims a security team has to sort through. Keeping up has become a job in itself, and it's a job most teams can't staff. I started Bitlevel Labs to do it for them.
